The 35-minute presentation will be offered free at 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

The show examines the “star” that declared the birth of Jesus Christ and explores why so few people of that time, including King Herod’s court astronomers, were aware of its appearance. “Star of Wonder” pursues this question using biblical quotations and our modern knowledge of astronomical bodies visible in the sky at the time of the Christ’s birth.

The Carr-Fles Planetarium is located in Room 135 on the campus of Muskegon Community College, 221 S. Quarterline Road.
