The Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund will grant $30,000 toward the $50,000 purchase price of the Pellegrom property, south of Leonard Road and across from the River Run subdivision.

The 3-acre parcel is directly across the street from the like-size township-owned park in River Run.

“The grant has been recommended to the (state) Legislature for approval, which basically means we got the grant,” said Spring Lake Township Community Development Director Lukas Hill. “We’ll be moving forward with it in the summer.”
