Deconstructed screen printing to be discussed

The topic for the Lakeshore Fiber Arts Guild's January meeting will be "Deconstructed Screen Printing: The DVD.'

It will take place at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at the Holland Area Arts Council, 150 E. Eighth St. in Holland. Anyone interested in the textile and fiber arts is invited.

Deconstructed screen printing was made famous by textile artist Kerr Grabowski. It is a unique technique of using thickened dyes on a screen to produce multiple, but constantly changing, textile prints. The DVD by Grabowski details her step-by-step method of this technique.
