One place teeming with winter activity on Monday was Duncan Memorial Park — where Adam Cook and his daughter, Reegan Cook, 3, enjoyed the fresh snow.

“It’s a nice end to the winter break,” Adam said.

The Grand Haven man said he and his daughter often go to Duncan Woods to sled and were glad to finally have snow on the ground.

“We were kind of worried,” Adam said. “But with Michigan weather, you just have to wait and see.”

Jeren Bewalda, 12, of Grand Haven was also out at the hill on Monday, and said he was glad to be there at least once before the holiday break ended.

“I am really happy that it finally did snow,” he said.
