This year’s style show will feature area dancers modeling the 18 available costumes, representing eight provinces. The program will feature historical aspects of each costume and options for dancers, as well as details and guidelines about the Dutch Dance program in general.
“Each year, before the style show takes place, a preview of the 2012 Dutch Dance fabric options is hosted by Field’s Fabrics in Holland,” explained Judy Tuinenga,
Tulip Time Festival’s Dutch dance program director. “Along with nine costume directors, we select and approve all fabrics appropriate for costumes.”
This preview and selection process will take place on Jan. 12. Tulip Time Festival 2012 is May 5-12.
