GVSU prof to talk about bird behavior

Michael Lombardo, a professor of biology at Grand Valley State University, will discuss some of the behaviors of birds during a presentation for the Owashtanong Islands Audubon Society on Tuesday, Jan. 17.

The free program, “Amazing Bird Behaviors,” will be held at the United Methodist Church of the Dunes, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Lombardo earned a degree in zoology at Ohio State University, and his master’s degree and doctorate from Rutgers University. He has been teaching at GVSU since 1991, and has published more than 40 papers on the behavior and microbiology of birds.
