The new language would allow for window signs to occupy 25 percent of a window; and for pennants, banners and flag signs to be allowed indefinitely, but for no more than three 30-day periods. Flag signs would also be permitted in front yards. Sandwich board signs will also be allowed indefinitely.

Ordinance language for car signs has been sent back to the village’s Planning Commission and will be considered at a future date.

Council will also hold a public hearing to enable temporary off-premise signs on Savidge Street for planned unit developments.

Council is also expected to ratify contracts with the city of Grand Haven and Spring Lake Township to continue shared planning and zoning services for the next year.

The meeting will be held at Barber School, 102 W. Exchange St.
