Center of African-American Art and History opens

The new Center of African-American Art and History opened Monday in Holland. Grand opening events were held at the museum on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The Holland Sentinel reported the museum’s exhibit about the civil rights leader will be one of the main attractions. Other exhibits will change over time.

The museum has been a labor of love for Ruth Coleman and her husband, Wayne, pastor of Imagine Fellowship, a congregation affiliated with the Christian Reformed Church. They’ve collected information and artifacts for display.
