Museum to host ‘Bling’-making class

"Bling' is the name of a special exhibit that is being held over at the Tri-Cities Historical Museum because of its popularity. It is also the name of a bracelet class that will be taught by Carla Kocher, a Spring Lake resident and jewelry maker, from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11.
Feb 1, 2012

Kocher has been a beaded-jewelry maker for nearly a decade. Her class will use wire wrapping and faux crystal beads to create a “Bling” bracelet.

The cost of the class is $25 and includes all materials necessary to make one bracelet. Jewelry making tools will be provided by the instructor of in-class use.

Additional supplies and tools will be available for purchase after the class.

The class is designed for adults; participants ages 14-17 wishing to take the class must be accompanied by an adult.

Advanced registration is necessary and those wishing to attend are asked to call the museum at 842-0700 and sign up by Feb. 6.
