The Battle Creek Enquirer reported the zoo received the male leopard named Tankh from the Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend, Ind., in December 2011.
The snow leopard will be on public display when the Battle Creek zoo opens April 20.
Tankh is the new companion for Lotus, the zoo’s 14-year-old female. The zoo said her former companion, Capron, died at Binder Park Zoo on Jan. 5 from age-related issues.
