Participants will hike a luminaria-lit trail instead of cross-country skiing during this adult couples event from 7-10 p.m.

Pre-registration can be done online through the Ottawa County Parks website at www.miottawa.org/parks, with the $10 per-couple fee paid at the event. Others not wishing to participate in the event can still come to enjoy a short fireworks display at 8 p.m.

Hikers will have a commemorative photo taken, which will be e-mailed to them on Valentine’s Day. Along with the fireworks, participants can enjoy a bonfire, hot beverages, chocolate surprises and prizes: including a bed-and-breakfast stay, a couple’s massage, free snowshoe rentals and wine.
