Village council to hear report for new manager

Village Council will hear a report from the committee assigned to search for a new village manager during its meeting on Monday.

The meeting is at 7 p.m. at Barber School, 102 W. Exchange St.

The search committee — Village President Jim MacLachlan and councilmen Mark Miller and Marv VandenBosch — will brief council on using the Michigan Municipal League to assist in a search for a new leader.

Village Manager Ryan Cotton is in negotiations with the city of Holland to become its manager. Cotton is expected to start the Holland position by late March.
