Tri-Cities Right to Life oratory contest is Monday

Tri-Cities Right to Life will hold its annual oratory contest at 7 p.m. Monday at First Reformed Church, 301 Washington Ave. in downtown Grand Haven.

Participants will be asked to do research and then compose a pro-life speech of 5-7 minutes duration, which will be presented to a panel of judges and an audience. The public is invited.

Contestants may select a topic from the following issues: abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, cloning and embryonic stem cell research.

Cash prizes for first, second and third place will be given; with the first-place winner advancing to the state oratory competition in Lansing on May 19.
