The concert, organized by White Pines Middle School’s eighth-grade Student Council, is at 7 p.m.

The concert will feature two 45-minute sets by local musician Garrett Borns. The performance will also include local musicians Scott Pellegrom, Kevin Kozel and Tom Thomas.

Twa missed two months of school earlier this year due to a drastic decline in her health.

After doctors at North Ottawa Community Hospital and Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids could not figure out what was wrong with the now 15-year-old girl, doctors at the University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital discovered the root of Gina’s vastly deteriorating health: dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase deficiency, or DLD.
