GOTAK is a small, extracurricular string ensemble founded in 2005 by the director of Grand Haven High School orchestras, Melissa Meyers. It started with a handful of orchestra students who possessed a common interest in exploring string music outside of the classical realm.

GOTAK performs at each of the traditional orchestra concerts held throughout the school year (fall, December, spring), as well as community events. The group is open to anyone currently enrolled in the Grand Haven High School orchestra program and meets once a week throughout the school year.

The concert is free and begins at 2 p.m. on the library’s upper level lobby.

Loutit District Library officials urged the public to come early due to limited seating. The library, 407 Columbus Ave., opens at 1 p.m. on Sundays.
