So the twp is looking at hanging the twp tax payers with another special tax assessment... People do you realize that under these so called "special tax assessment" that you CAN NOT deduct those amounts off your Michigan taxes... We already pay for a special assessment for police services which was voted down by the tax payers several years ago... So Mr Cargo came up with a way to pay for his twp cops... which includes paying for the new sheriff office at the twp hall... We already pay for the fire department with a 1.5 mileage... and now are assessed .55 mills for the police services... So I read that twp is looking at ways to fund a new fire aerial truck... which may be funded with another special assessment ( which is NON deductible on your taxes) Seems to me that whats the fire mileage was original slated for helping with those costs... We know that the twp does not want to come with a mileage increase during these very low economic times in the tri-cities area... when businesses are still asking for staff to take wage and benefit reductions yet... Maybe the twp needs to ask the tax payers for those big budget items approval or just use the City of Grand Haven aerial truck.

People who are hurt by fireworks are usually children and teenagers. Instead of ranting about big brother and making light of blowing off a finger, maybe this article could have been written with more maturity.-Paul Perito

I think it is so important to go over this task list. So much needs to be done in the town here. I hope they will push this task list in the future. shredding services
