Hunt Easter eggs

Want to search for pastel-colored plastic eggs? You're in luck. There are at least six local Easter egg hunts planned for Saturday.

Here’s the roundup:

*The Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene, 1620 Beechtree St., will host its annual egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday. This is a free event that’s open to children up until sixth grade. For information, call 842-7030.

*Hope Reformed Church, 14932 Mercury Drive in Grand Haven Township, will host its egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday. The event is open to children ages 2 through fifth grade. For information, call 842-9150

*Grand Haven/Spring Lake Chapter 132 Order of the Eastern Star will host its annual egg hunt at 1 p.m. Saturday. The event is free and open to the community. It will be hosted at The Salvation Army, 327 N. Ferry St. For information, call 846-9109.

*The third annual Chapel Easter Egg Hunt will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Grand Haven Gospel Chapel, 1805 Waverly Ave. Children ages 0-10 will be divided into two groups to collect some of the nearly 1,000 eggs scattered around the chapel's courtyards. This is a free event and families can register starting at 10:30 a.m. For information, call 846-1940.

*Grand Haven’s Central Park will be host to the annual egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday. The free event is for children up to age 10. Children will gather more than 5,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes.

*Vander Mill will host a free egg hunt at noon Saturday. Children up to age 5 will participate in the hunt at noon, with children ages 6-10 participating at 12:15 p.m. The event, hosted at 14921 Cleveland St., Spring Lake, features the Easter bunny, train rides, cider slush, ice cream, candy and prizes.
