This new documentary highlights the efforts of the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and their pioneering techniques to restore this fascinating fish. Lake sturgeon declined to a tiny fraction of their historic numbers in the Great Lakes, but rehabilitation efforts are reversing that trend.

Fisheries biologist Marty Holtgren will introduce the film and field questions from the audience.

Advance registration is not required. For details, call 616-786-4847.

The Nature Education Center is located at Hemlock Crossing County Park in Port Sheldon Township.
