The “Our Faith, Our Future” plan released Thursday was approved earlier this month by Bishop Walter Hurley. Our Lady of Sorrows in Grand Rapids, St. Anthony in Robinson Township and St. Dominic in Wyoming will merge with other churches. St. Anthony has already merged with St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Grand Haven.

The plan is nearly three years in the making. Hurley said it’s “a roadmap for the future” of the Roman Catholic diocese.

There’s no set timeline for when many changes will take place, but they’re expected over several years. Each of the churches in the diocese will be affected in some way.
