Community welcomes new senior facility

Grand Haven-Spring Lake-Ferrysburg Chamber of Commerce President Joy Gaasch used an oversized pair of scissors to cut the ribbon to open the facility, a sister facility to Grand Pines Assisted Living Center, 1410 S. Ferry St.

The owners, architect, facility manager and a resident assisted Gaasch at the ribbon cutting.

Officials said that 48 of the 88 apartments are either occupied or have been contracted.
