Sean Phillips was sentenced to spend 10 to 15 years in prison after being convicted of unlawful imprisonment of his daughter, Katherine Phillips. He is serving time in the state prison at Ionia.

Baby Kate was 4 months old when she disappeared.

Her mother, Ariel Courtland, filed an application for a marriage license in Ionia County on Monday, according to the Ionia County Clerk's Office. Courtland told WZZM-TV that she did not want to talk about the case anymore, and that "my personal life is my personal life."

There has been no sign of Baby Kate since she disappeared more than a year ago.

Wow.

I find it impossible to believe a mother would speak to, let alone marry, the man who killed her child. This lady should never be allowed to reproduce (her gene pool should die out) simply b/c she's just plain stupid.
