This free event on Washington Avenue is open to people of all ages and offers a unique opportunity for people to hear live, original music. The event kicks off at 6 each night with performances starting at 7.

Hosted by Grand Haven’s Main Street Downtown Development Authority, this is the fourth year for the festival.

Mike Coleman, coordinator of Indie Rock Music Festival, said he looks forward to bringing many elements of art and music to one location.

“We’re excited to bring 10 great up-and-coming original bands to the Lakeshore this year and to work in conjunction with Grand Haven’s ArtWalk,” he said. “It’s important to bring new energy into a community in the form of business, music, art and people. The Indie Rock Music Festival does all these things.”

Groups scheduled to perform at this year’s event include Ghost Heart, K. Serra, Ice Station Zebra, Redwood, The Wallace Collective, Bella Ruse, Valentiger and Skies Revolt.

Music-goers will also be able to enjoy local art, a beer tent with microbrews, wine from local producers and food from local restaurants.
