And don't forget Small Business Saturday. Sandwiched between Black Friday mayhem and Cyber Monday mania, you can stroll downtown sidewalks, catch some deals and boost the local economy.

Piles of poultry

You have about four days to safely use or freeze leftover turkey, so it's time to start planning your menu.

To retain moisture, keep the leftover turkey on the bone and cut it off as you need it. If you've already carved the carcass, double-wrap the meat before refrigeration.

If you're groaning at the thought of another turkey sandwich or overcooked white meat in the microwave, try these leftover lift-me-ups:

— Turkey tacos. Simmer shredded turkey in taco seasoning and place in a flour tortilla. Top with tomatoes, lettuce and cheese. Plain turkey tastes terrific in tortillas, too. Add avocado slices, fresh salsa, cilantro and sour cream.

— Toss fresh greens, turkey, dried cranberries, mandarin orange slices, pecans and walnuts. Drizzle with poppy-seed or raspberry vinaigrette dressing.

— Shred turkey and toss into a frying pan with an onion and your favorite barbecue sauce. Serve it up on a hoagie roll or sub bun for pulled pork, poultry-style. Don't forget the pickles.

— Dig out your favorite tuna casserole recipe and replace the tuna with turkey.

— Use your imagination: Turkey fried rice? Turkey potpies? Turkey and dumplings? Shredded turkey burritos? Turkey/broccoli/cheddar quiche? Spicy turkey chili?

Manic Monday

If you opted out of the Black Friday crowds today, there's still time to snag some deals.

Many stores continue the holiday shopping momentum on Cyber Monday with online "Windows"-buster specials.

But before you become entangled in the wide web of deals, here are some tips to keep you on the sane side of cybering:

— Early to bed, early to rise. Make sure you know start times. Some stores launch online deals at midnight Sunday. Many items sell out fast, so set an alarm if you want to nab low-price prizes.

— Use CyberMonday.com and dealio.com for an overview of deals across the web, including coupons and free shipping offers.

— Check the Facebook and Twitter pages of your favorite stores for special online deals.

— Head to retailmenot.com or currentcodes.com for up-to-the-minute coupon codes. You may land an extra percentage off or free shipping. If you bookmark retailmenot.com, you can click the link and it will display all available coupons for the site that you're on.

— Before you place an order, visit a price comparison site like pricegrabber.com to make sure your deal is competitive.
