Library to host Civil War author

West Michigan author Tobin Buhk will discuss his latest work, "True Crime in the Civil War," at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, in Loutit District Library's Program Room A.

This free program is part of the library's series to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Civil War.   

In his new book, Buhk compiles true-life tales of both famous crimes from the Civil War and lesser-known atrocities — including murders, duels, counterfeiting and draft riots.

Buhk is the author of "True Crime: Michigan" as well as the co-author of two books on forensics.
