More than 70 entries decorated with lights and music will brighten the streets of Grand Haven. The parade will travel west on Franklin Avenue, beginning at Second Street to Harbor Drive, north on Harbor Drive to Washington Avenue, then east on Washington to Central Park for the lighting of the Community Christmas Tree.

The tree lighting will include a carol sing with Santa and Mrs. Claus, led by Capt. Jay Davis of The Salvation Army. The Prevailing Winds Band will accompany them.

Grand marshal for this year’s parade is Megan Crumbacher Doss. She was recognized and awarded the Spirit of Community Award byt the local Chamber of Commerce in May for her commitment to improve the quality of life for others in our community, and for her demonstrated leadership and innovation in the development of volunteer projects.

Streets along the parade route will be closed beginning at 5 p.m. Dec. 1. Children are asked to stay close to their parents on the curbside.

For more information, contact the Chamber at 842-4910.
