The gallery's latest exhibit celebrates the “Gift of Trees.” The title is taken from the hymn “Trees," based on Psalm 1, which asks to fashion us to be giving, living as a tree.

A public reception to meet the artists and hear them talk about their work will take place at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the church, on the corner of Sheldon at Robbins roads in Grand Haven.

The exhibit features works by sculptor Marcia Perry, graphic artist Mary E. Andersen, painter Virginia Wieringa and etching artist Ladislav Hanka. The exhibit also displays a watercolor triptych of Joel Tanis, a mixed media work by Julie Quinn, a large fabric banner designed by Machelle Knockenhauer, photo collages by Hank Ottens and Vange Van Heusen, and pottery by Susan Hoekema.

The exhibit runs through Feb. 10. The public may view it from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and between 9 a.m. and noon Fridays. Call the church at 616-842-0710 for special arrangements.
