A politician paid only a $1, and donating the rest to charity. Not a first, but better than what we have in the White House. Obama donated $172,130 (politico.com 9/21/12)out of 11.8 Million.(therichest.org/celebnetworth 4/18/11) and is paid more than $1.
Just a comparison.

$11 million - Annual income? Net worth? The article is discussing Snyder's annual income for 2011. Obama's adjusted GROSS INCOME for 2010 = $1.728 million. 2011 = $789,674. NET WORTH = between $2,801,012 and $11,830,000, according to your source.
