The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a winter weather advisory for snow, effective from 10 p.m. Wednesday to 4 p.m. Thursday.
Snow showers will increase in coverage and intensity west of U.S. 131 toward midnight and may be heavy at times overnight into Thursday morning. Snow will diminish Thursday afternoon.
Total accumulations of 2-4 inches are expected.
The Thursday morning commute will feature reduced visibilities and slippery roads. Drivers are advised to plan for a slower commute to work or school Thursday morning.
