Crowds turn out for dog, cardboard sled races

Hundreds of people turned out on a perfect winter morning for Winterfest activities at Mulligan's Hollow.

Mother Nature dumped plenty of fresh snow in time for today's dog sled races and cardboard sled races.

The sun came out, the temperature pushed up into the 20s, and area residents loaded on their snow suits and surrounded the hill to cheer on their favorite sleds.

The biggest cheer came out of the crowd when the abominable snowman made it down to the bottom of the hill - upright.

The biggest scare came with a massive collision on the hill and with some super spills where sleds and riders flipped over the hay bales designed to stop them at the end of the course.
