A lake-effect snow warning is in effect for Ottawa County and several other West Michigan Lakeshore counties until 1 p.m. Saturday. Total accumulations of 8-14 inches can be expected by Saturday afternoon.

Today: Snow showers with areas of blowing snow. High near 17. Wind chill values as low as minus 4. Blustery, with a west-northwest wind 18 to 23 mph, with gusts as high as 31 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.

Tonight: Snow showers with areas of blowing snow. Low around 13. Wind chill values as low as minus 3. West wind 15 to 18 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.

Saturday: Snow showers. High near 21. Wind chill values as low as minus 1. Northwest wind 7 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.
