Officials measured the river at 13.2 feet at around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. The flood stage at Robinson Township is 13.3 feet.

Minor-to-moderate flooding occurred in the VanLopik neighborhood of Robinson Township for several days late last week and early this week. The river there rose as high as about a foot over the flood stage.

Officials said this morning that the river at Robinson Township has lost most of its ice cover, but the ice jam at the U.S. 31 drawbridge in Grand Haven was still in place. High temperatures in the upper 30s Wednesday and Thursday were expected to help break up some of the ice, the weather bureau said.
