"That would be real hard to do because Duncan Woods is very nice but not that big," the Grand Haven woman insists in her Jan. 14 marygoeswalking blog post. "What happened is when I came out the other end, as always seems to happen when I do this, I wasn't sure exactly what combination of turns to make to get home. It is a part of town I don't normally walk around."

Mary said the adventure began when Jack had an appointment at North Ottawa Community Hospital, so she and her dog tagged along and took a walk to the nearby park. She encourages people to get outside and "get lost" — you'll never know what you might discover.

"It was pretty this time of year," she noted of Duncan's Woods in her "Lost" post. "I like the open look without the leaves. I'll have to go back when the sun is shining to see how that looks."
