Jack Klein, road engineer for the Ottawa County Road Commission, said the closure will be in place for the removal of the existing superstructure and construction of a pre-stressed, concrete box beam superstructure with a concrete deck, substructure widening, riprap and related approach work.
The project is anticipated to be completed and bridge reopened by June 7.
In the meantime, northbound motorists will be detoured west onto Hickory Street, and then north on 168th Avenue to Hemlock Drive.
