Lake-effect snow advisory

(UPDATE: 1:40 p.m. Saturday) A lake-effect snow advisory for Ottawa County is in effect through 10 p.m. Saturday.

Snow showers will continue this afternoon with total snow accumulations of 6-10 inches (since Friday afternoon through Saturday night), with locally heavier amounts possible. Another 2 inches is expected Saturday night.

The advisory area includes Ottawa, Muskegon, Mason, Oceana, Allegan, Kalamazoo and Van Buren counties.

Impacts:

— Snow-covered and potentially icy roads.

— Rapid visibility changes for driving.
