The Abbotts previously served in Denver, Colo., where Pastor Abbott served the ministry at Denver First Church of the Nazarene as the young adult and family pastor. He has two master's degrees, the most recent from Northwest Nazarene University.
His wife, Stephanie, has a master's degree in counseling, with experience in the area of child abuse and neglect. The Abbotts have four children — ages 8, 7, 3 and 3 months.
The congregation at the Grand Haven Church of the Nazarene, 1620 S. Beechtree St., invites the community to meet the Abbotts and to worship with them at 11 a.m. Sundays.
