Barefoot runner puts her foot down

Sandy Parker said she came home exhausted one recent night, and grabbed Outside Magazine to read as a way to unwind so she could fall asleep.

"Super bad choice for unwinding," the Spring Lake woman wrote in a recent post for her blog, "Path Findings." "Dang! I hate it when something ruffles my feathers right before bed, especially on a night when I need some good sleep."

The article that ruffled her feathers prompted her to immediately fire off a letter to the magazine's editor. Being a barefoot runner, Parker took exception to "You don't know how to run" in the magazine's April issue.

"Barefoot running is about finding alignment through natural movement," she noted.
