A cross that was removed from a Spring Lake church nearly three years ago went back up this morning.

Nearly 500 people gathered to watch the resurrection of the cross at Harvest Bible Chapel in Spring Lake this morning. The cross was removed three years ago when the church's then-owner C3 Exchange began to focus more on overall spirituality, and became less centered around Christianity and its symbols.

People started to gather earlier this morning, setting up camp chairs and sitting in cars to watch the cross preparation take place.

Harvest Bible Chapel is hosting the public open house until 2 p.m. at the church, 225 E. Exchange St. The event includes a 20-minute documentary, tours of the newly remodeled building and refreshments.

You would think it was Black Friday with all the nutters out there this morning...

Funny if your above comment was made about the 30 people that attended the meeting about racism at our local High School there would be screaming outrage! Lets see what happens here.
