The National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids said temperatures will fall below freezing after 11 tonight. By Monday morning, most locations will see temps in the 25-30 degree range.

A widespread frost is expected. Damage to unprotected tender vegetation is likely, and damage to the buds and flowers on fruit trees could also occur.

A freeze warning is issued when freezing temperatures are forecasted to threaten outdoor plants. Those with agricultural interests in the warning area are advised to protect tender vegetation. Potted plants normally left outdoors at this time of year should be covered or brought indoors.
