The 5k run and walk will begin at 9 a.m.

There is a $10 entrance fee. Any money left over will be donated to the nonprofit Michigan Lyme Disease Association.

"Following the race, we will be providing food and refreshments and information about Lyme disease, its symptoms, how you can protect yourself and much more," Rice said. "The president of the Michigan Lyme Disease Association will be present as well to answer any questions. We will also have awards, games, raffles and lots of positive energy."
