There will be lane closures on the highway at Taft Street in Spring Lake Township tonight, and again June 10-13. The Michigan Department of Transportation said the closures will be in place intermittently on both northbound and southbound lanes between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. One lane of traffic will remain open in each direction at all times.

Beginning Monday, June 10, Ridge Street over U.S. 31 and the Mid-Michigan Railroad tracks in Ferrysburg will be closed and detoured for bridge work. The detour route for Ridge Street is on 174th Avenue, Third Street and Pine Street.

At this time, there are no lane closures planned for the highway during the bridge project, but the state transportation agency said closures may be needed at a later date.
