The programs will run from 7:30-8:45 each Sunday night through Aug. 25 at Waterfront Stadium in downtown Grand Haven.
Worship on the Waterfront is a ministry of First Reformed Church of Grand Haven. It is run by a team of 11 volunteers who are committed to providing 10 weeks of free Christian worship events that appeal to all ages and supported by a generous community.
New artists for this summer include: FFH (June 23), Josh Wilson (June 30), Point of Grace (July 28), Jason Gray (Aug. 4) and Sarah Macintosh (Aug. 18) — all of whom are well-known in the Christian community and can be heard on local Christian radio stations. Curt Dykema is also new this year and is a worship leader/songwriter from the Zeeland area.
Worship on the Waterfront is also bringing back four crowd favorites. They are: Phil Stacey (July 7), Ark Harbor Buoys (July 21), Chris Hansen with his Down Home Horns & Choir leading a Gaither-style homecoming sing-a-long (Aug. 11), and Peder Eide (Aug. 25).
You can check out all of the series' artists at worshiponthewaterfront.org.
At 7 p.m., a local worship band will lead singing prior to the start of each W.O.W. show. Come dressed for the weather and sit in the stands or bring a chair. A free-will offering will be taken.
