The West Michigan blogger found what she was looking for close to home.

"I've just been overwhelmed with moving and the normal life stresses," she wrote in the "Fourth of July" post for her "Selective Potential" blog. "It's just hitting me extra hard for some reason right now and I've been surrounding myself with whatever I can to stay happy at this point."

Tieka found Lake Michigan beach sand, a picnic, fireworks, her dog and good friends to be the right ingredients to chill.

You are so right, Tieka! I've lived in many beautiful places, but nothing banishes the stress of everyday life like an early morning stroll on the GH boardwalk, a sail on the Lake, dinner on the deck watching the boats go by, watching the sun set while lounging on the beach, hiking the wooded dunes, watching the charter boat captains fileting the days catch, or just sitting on a bench and watching the people go by.
