Bystanders waved as they watched the cars drive throughout the city for the 18th annual Scott Flahive Memorial Cruise. It began at the Driftwood Inn parking lot.

Flahive was a Grand Haven police officer who was killed in the line of duty in December 1994.

Proceeds from the annual event will go to the Scott Flahive Memorial Fund, which supports criminal justice education. Kurt Pravda, the event organizer, said they’ve raised more than $10,000 for the fund throughout the years.
