Health officials announced the update Friday for the city north of Grand Rapids.

Officials had advised residents to use bottled water Wednesday or boil tap water before using it for drinking, brushing teeth or preparing food.

The Kent County Health Department said there were equipment problems at the Rockford water plant over the Labor Day holiday weekend. Rockford has approximately 5,800 residents and draws its water from wells.

There have been no reports of illness, although E. coli can cause severe cramps, nausea and diarrhea.

If that's water in that mug I wouldn't drink it either!

LessThanAmused

Ha! You made a funny. Seriously, I laughed. Guess that makes me more than amused.

Wingmaster

Guess that makes us both amused!

LessThanAmused

Actually the article title made me laugh even more. Reading it literally it says......"Advisory lifted after E. coli found in water"....which begs the question, why would you lift the advisory after finding E. Coli in the water???
I didn't mention it earlier cuz I figured no one else would think it was funny, but what the heck, it's a slow day and besides the next line clears it all up, kinda......
It's all free entertainment I guess and you get what you pay for.....

Lanivan

I, for one, think it's hilarious....funny how us twits pick up on the humor....

LessThanAmused

Hey, speak for yourself....I'm not the least bit politically correct.

Lanivan

Hey, why limit yourself?

LessThanAmused

uhhhh, I find being politically correct to be very limiting, almost mute inducing. It's much more liberating to just speak my mind and let the chips fall where they may...no limits here babe! :-)

Lanivan

Oh, that's nice, but I was referring to the "us twits/speak for yourself" exchange. It was funny at the time....

Let's see if this gets the ax.....

LessThanAmused

You're hard to follow....why would this get the ax??

See the little smiley face there? That means it was suppose to be funny, in jest. Is it politically incorrect to have a sense of humor?

Lanivan

Dear Fellow Commenter, I'm sorry I'm hard to follow; I'll try to be less cryptic in future communications, if, after all this, we even have any. For the record, my response was an attempt at humor - the 'ax' was a jab at my moderator purge in the diva column; I recognized your smiley face and was smiling when I wrote, too, although I didn't actually provide a smiley face, assuming you understood I was smiling :( . I could not care less what is politically correct - I love to joke, tease, and laugh, and no one, not even you, is going to spoil that! :D

LessThanAmused

Ah...then it simply went over my head. I'll blame it on the paint fumes in lieu of having a better excuse. Don't mean to spoil your good mood, I just need to keep up with the flow better I guess. Carry on, I'm heading back upstairs, again......

Wingmaster

Come on Lan, don't sell youself short, cryptic is what you do so well;-)

Careful how much you tease, poke and prod on here as some old timers just can't find amusement in it.

Lanivan

I confess: Teasing the old geezers (even if I'm in that category) is so much fun....

LessThanAmused

Alrighty, I'll see ya and raise ya one....

From an old geezer to an old cougar, keep it coming sweetie and I'll try and catch what ever you toss this way. As long as you don't resort to that political jibber jabber crap I'll do my best to keep up with your witty retorts and train of thought and if I can't figure it out, I'll ask the wife if she can explain it to me.
Sleep tight, got an early morning appt here so my day is done.
