The annual See You at the Pole, the global day of student prayer, is sponsored locally by the Grand Haven-based First Priority of the Lakeshore. They will host events at the high schools and middle schools of Spring Lake, Grand Haven and Fruitport.
All students are encouraged to come and pray before school with their friends, youth pastors and school faculty. Doughnuts and juice will be provided, courtesy of First Priority of the Lakeshore and Meijer.
“Come be encouraged, challenged and blessed to experience what God is doing," said Randy White, executive director of First Priority of the Lakeshore. "Regardless of the church group or the school peer group you are a part of, come and pray.”
See You at the Pole began in 1990 as a grass roots movement with 10 students praying at their school. Twenty-three years later, millions are expected to pray on their campuses around their flagpoles next week.
This year, it’s not just a day. Global Student Prayer Week is Sept. 22-28.
First Priority is a multi-denominational, student-led middle and high school campus outreach ministry. It exists as an extension of the local church to encourage, equip and empower students to reach their campuses for Jesus Christ.
