Rohn, 28, will take on Drew Morais in a lightweight (155) undercard bout at Xtreme Fighting Championships (XFC) 27: Frozen Fury, at Muskegon’s L.C. Walker Arena.

“I’m starting to see a lot of places that I normally wouldn’t have seen,” Rohn said earlier this week as he prepared for tonight’s fight. “It’s always been a dream to fight (at the L.C. Walker). I’ve been going to the L.C. Walker since I can remember. … It’s an honor to perform there as a professional, too.”

The event begins at 7 p.m., with doors opening at 6. Tickets are still available for $19 and up at www.beafantickets.com.

Rohn, whose nickname Rocksteady comes from his love of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles character of the same name, is expecting to have a few more fans than usual tonight.

“I’ve got a really good support system here in Grand Haven and Muskegon,” Rohn said. “I’m looking forward to everyone having a good time. Win lose or draw it’s nice to get everyone in the same place.”

His opponent, Morais, was a wrestler in college, but that didn’t change Rohn’s training camp leading up to the contest. Despite the classic grappler versus striker matchup, Rohn said he isn’t sure what direction the fight will head in.
