The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Ottawa County.

The advisory is in effect until 7 a.m. Tuesday.

Snow showers of an inch per hour are expected overnight, with rapid visibility changes. Snow could accumulate to 6 inches or more closer to the lake.

Driving is expected to become more hazardous, surfaces will be super slippery, and additional power outages are possible as snow accumulates on ice-covered surfaces.

Motorists are urged to drive slowly, leaving plenty of room between themselves and the vehicle in front of them.

The state has a billion dollar surplus and our roads still can't get plowed and salted. Bruised and broken after crossing one of the "skating rinks" to get my mail. Thanks Grand Haven streets and Ottawa County Road Commission. Keep up the lousy work, guess the death toll isn't high enough yet!

Well I guess we'll all have sad comments to make when you’re finally gone, passed on from a "skating rink" accident; I'll beat the rush.

What a terrible thing to have happened to such a nice guy, if only he had taken the necessary precautions with appropriate footwear and padding. He sure was colorful there at the end, all that black and blue, must have been a NFC Northern Division fan. My thoughts go out to his family, I'm sure they will miss his, well his, well there must be something about him they will miss; old curmudgeon.

Oh, Merry Christmas, I hope you get a couple of bags of salt and a shovel from Santa.

If necessary, replace she for he, her for his and him, gal for guy, and if you are under 60 then replace old with young.

On a more serious note, b-flat, Bacon makes everything better!

Oh brother, what ever happened to personal responsibility?

Maybe you could get a class action lawsuit going? If it'll work for the Target mess maybe it'll work for something else equally stupid.

I'd suggest a hot bath and like RU always recommends, a nice scotch to ease the pain and then move on, life's too short to carry that much angst around with ya.

You are really starting to get it; Scotch is Nice! More Bacon Please!
