The advisory from the National Weather Service is in effect through midnight tonight for Ottawa, Muskegon, Kent, Allegan and Van Buren counties.
Snow could be briefly heavy along the Lakeshore between 6 and 11 p.m. Roads will become snow-covered again, with reduced visibilities and slow travel.
Motorists are reminded to adjust speeds based on the conditions, and to take it slow in ice and snow.
The forecast for the Grand Haven area:
Tonight: Snow showers, mainly between 8 p.m. and 2 a.m. Low around 19. Southwest wind 8 to 15 mph becoming northwest after midnight.
Friday: A 40 percent chance of snow showers before 8 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 31. Light and variable wind becoming south-southwest 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
