The final result was a bit of a head-scratcher for coach Jack Nummerdor, but he said he was pleased with his team’s performance.
“Things are starting to come together, guys are getting down to weight,” Nummerdor said. “Once they get down there, they’re a lot stronger. It’s still not where we want to be, but we have until February to get there. I’m happy where we’re at (right now), the kids are working their tails off.”
Champions for the Trojans on Saturday were Cameron Butler (120), Dalton Pope (125), Levi Six (130), Tommy Martinez (140), Collin Butler (145), Austin Fialek (152) and Chris Hendricks (285).
Alex Heiss (215) finished in third, while Andrew Bunda (119) and Tony Stong (140) finished fourth in their respective weight classes.
