The National Weather Service says light to moderate snowfall will accumulate 3-5 inches by noon Wednesday. However, it will be lighter and fluffier snow than we had this past Saturday.

Motorists will be affected by blowing and drifting snow. We'll have wind gusts up to 30 mph from the northeast.

Impacts:

* Roads will become snow-packed and hazardous with some slide-offs and accidents likely.

* Travel speeds will be restricted and visibilities reduced.

* The Wednesday morning commute will be affected.

* The Michigan Department of Transportation reminds motorists to adjust speeds based on the conditions, and to take it slow in ice and snow.

Overnight: Snow. Low around 18. Northeast wind 8 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. Total nighttime snow accumulation of around 2 inches.

Wednesday: Snow, mainly before 1 p.m. High near 22. North wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of around an inch possible.
